Renters Insurance

Renters insurance safeguards a tenant's personal belongings in case of theft, fire, vandalism, or certain natural disasters. It generally includes personal property coverage, loss of use (additional living expenses if the property becomes uninhabitable), liability protection, and sometimes medical payments to others. It's valuable because it provides financial protection for a tenant's belongings, offering peace of mind against unforeseen circumstances. You can often customize their policies to include specific coverage for high-value items or additional liabilities.

Liability Insurance

Liability insurance protects tenants in case they're found responsible for accidental damage to the rented property or if someone is injured while on the premises. It typically covers legal fees, medical expenses, property damage costs, and other liabilities arising from incidents that occur within the rented property. This insurance is essential as it shields tenants from potential financial burdens resulting from unexpected accidents or damages. It's crucial for tenants to understand the coverage limitations, such as specific incidents that may not be covered or coverage caps.

NOTE: Per your signed Lease, you are required to obtain personal liability insurance and, if desired, personal household contents insurance/Renters Insurance.
